Our Story

The Parkside Hotel first opened in 1909 as “Rosie’s” under the ownership of Red Kauffman. However, historical documents show that it was never actually a hotel; instead, it has always been a local bar and grille serving the Hershey, Pennsylvania area.

The establishment was later acquired by Louie DiSantis who re-branded the concept as Parkside and it was operated under his auspices for an additional 17 years until Fred and Sue Gasper purchased the Parkside in 1976.

The Gasper’s went on to create the Parkside as we know it today and have continued to operate the family-owned business for the past 45+ years.
